South Korea seizes North Korean fishing boat that crossed border, report says

The South Korean military on Tuesday seized a North Korean fishing boat that was crossing the maritime border between the two Koreas and fired a warning shot to repel a North Korean patrol boat that tried to intervene, the agency reported. press Yonhap.

The seized boat was carrying seven crew members, six of whom were wearing military uniforms. The seven unarmed North Koreans reportedly have no intention of defecting to the South and claim their ship accidentally veered into South Korean waters, Yonhap said.
